After a historic run at the Gujarati box office, Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate is gearing up for its nationwide Hindi-language theatrical release on 9th January, 2026. Presented by Manifest Films and produced by Ajay Padariya and Jay Vyas , the film stars Karan Joshi, Shruhad Goswami and Reeva Rachh , in pivotal roles. Directed by Ankit Sakhiya , the film tells the story of Laalo — a simple rickshaw driver weighed down by his past, whose life takes an unexpected turn when faith enters his darkest moments. Grounded yet deeply spiritual, the film explores belief, redemption and inner awakening through the lens of an ordinary man.
What makes Laalo’s journey remarkable isn’t just its box-office success, but the way the film was quietly shaped by real audiences long before its release. Director Ankit Sakhiya reveals that the team chose to show the completed film to everyday viewers across backgrounds to understand who the story truly resonated with. “To be honest, while we were making the film, we felt it was good and that it would reach people in its own way. We believed it had something different to offer, but we never imagined it would connect with so many people in such a short span of time. After the film was ready, we began showing it to small groups — around 500 to 600 people — and asked them very honestly what they felt about it. We wanted to know what they liked, what they didn’t, and why. The feedback we received was extremely encouraging. People kept telling us that it felt fresh, that they had never seen anything like this before, and that gave us confidence. This process continued for almost a year. We showed the film to audiences from all walks of life — from watchmen and cyclists to senior professionals and business owners. Our idea was to understand who the film was really connecting with and who our audience was. That’s when we realised something special was happening — the film was being embraced by entire families. Everyone, across age groups, was enjoying it together. We knew then that if families came to the theatre, the experience would be truly special — something rare and unforgettable.”
Released in October 2025, Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate went on to become the first Gujarati film to cross the ₹100-crore mark, driven largely by word-of-mouth and repeat family audiences — a phenomenon rarely seen in regional cinema.
The film now steps into a larger national spotlight as it releases in Hindi across India on 9th January, 2026, inviting audiences to experience Laalo’s journey of faith and redemption on the big screen.
