The 14-day tour by DRUM TAO honors the deep cultural ties and longstanding friendship between India and Japan
Andaman, December 19, 2025: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) and DRUM TAO, is set to bring an unforgettable blend of energy and rhythm to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as part of the first-ever international Island Music Festival. Fresh from their vibrant performances at the Hornbill Festival in Kohima, Namo Ghat in Varanasi, and shows across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Chennai, DRUM TAO will continue their India tour with a powerful live showcase in Andaman—marking a landmark moment for the festival in India’s Tropical Paradise.
The Andaman performance represents another milestone in DRUM TAO’s 14-city India tour, aimed at celebrating the artistic bond and long-standing cultural ties between India and Japan. Known for their powerful Taiko drumming, flawless synchronisation and visually striking stage presentation, the ensemble is poised to deliver an evening filled with electrifying sound, dynamic motion and immersive storytelling.
With every beat building towards an exhilarating crescendo, DRUM TAO is expected to create an atmosphere of high energy and excitement, offering audiences a compelling showcase of precision, discipline and contemporary Japanese performance art.
Following the successful Chennai concert, DRUM TAO will continue their India tour with the Island Music Festival performance in Marina Park, Sri Vijaya Puram on December 19 from 5 pm onwards, followed by the final showcase in Bengaluru on December 21.
