Ramakrishna CARE Hospital Hosts 5th Nephrocritical Care Review Course with Pioneering VR and AR Training

Raipur, August 31st, 2025: Ramakrishna CARE Hospital, in association with the NephroCritical Care Society, successfully organised the 5th Nephrocritical Care Review Course in Raipur. The two-day academic program was designed to advance clinical expertise in nephrocritical care and dialysis management, with a special focus on the integration of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) for medical training – a first-of-its-kind initiative in India.
The course, themed “The Kidneys in the ICUs – Cross-Talk, Clarity, and Cutting-Edge Care”, featured an eminent panel of international and national faculty, including Dr Sandeep Dave (Medical And Managing Director),Dr Sanjeev Anant Kale Nephrologist, Dr Vishal Kumar Critical Care HOD, Dr Santosh Kumar Singh, Dr Prawash Choudhary Nephrologist, Dr. Abhilash Koratala (Medical College of Wisconsin, USA), Dr. K. R. Ramanathan (National University of Singapore), Dr. Valentine Lobo (KEM Hospital, Pune), Dr. M. Ravi Krishna (KIMS-ICON Hospitals, Visakhapatnam), and Dr. Sourabh Sharma (VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi). The academic sessions encompassed immersive VR-based learning modules, hands-on rotational workshops on SLED and CRRT, high-level debates, and multidisciplinary case-based discussions. The event was attended by intensivists, nephrologists, critical care physicians, and postgraduate trainees from across the country.
