Pimpri-Chinchwad, August 5: Keeping in view the growing opportunities in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, the Centre of Excellence – EV Technology was inaugurated today at MM Polytechnic, Pimpri-Chinchwad, to provide students and young professionals with industry-oriented training, innovation, and skill development opportunities.
The initiative has been established under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme of Envalior and is being implemented by BroadArks Foundation. Through this Centre of Excellence, students will receive hands-on training in electric vehicle technology, battery management systems, advanced automotive technologies, and other industry-relevant skills aligned with evolving market requirements.
With the rapid adoption of electric vehicles across the country, the centre is expected to play a significant role in developing a skilled workforce for the EV industry. It will also enhance students’ employability while strengthening the collaboration between academia and industry. The initiative marks an important step towards bridging the gap between education and industry and preparing future-ready talent.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by institutional leaders, industry representatives, faculty members, students, and other distinguished guests. The attendees welcomed the initiative and expressed confidence that the Centre would serve as a catalyst for promoting green and sustainable technologies while empowering young people with the skills required for the future mobility ecosystem.
