Gurugram, April 08, 2026: RHI Magnesita, the leading manufacturer and supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems, and solutions, has received the prestigious ‘CSR Award’ from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu; for its impactful contribution to the state’s P4 (Public–Private–People Partnership) initiative, recently. The award was received by Abhishek Sharma, Head of Operations – India Region, on behalf of the company, recognising its sustained efforts towards inclusive and sustainable development across communities in the state.
RHI Magnesita has been driving focused CSR initiatives across key areas such as education, healthcare, rural transformation, and skill development and employment. Through a collaborative and community-centric approach, the company has worked towards improving access to essential services while enabling long-term socio-economic progress in underserved regions. The company also operates a key manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, specialising in fire clay and high alumina refractories.
The company’s initiatives have led to the restoration and upgradation of schools in Venkatapuram, improving learning environments and supporting students from low-income families with essential educational resources. In healthcare, RHI Magnesita has strengthened rural access through partnerships and contributed to the upgradation of the N.T.R. Government Hospital in Anakapalle by adding modern facilities, including a patient waiting hall, baby feeding room, de-addiction and rehabilitation centre, and mortuary. Community development efforts have included improvements in sanitation, drinking water systems, and public infrastructure, while skill development initiatives at Government ITIs through the provision of industry-relevant machinery, have enabled hands-on training and enhanced employability for youth. Collectively, these initiatives have positively impacted over 12,000 villagers and supported more than 1,000 students, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive community development.
