- Installed at 500 ft elevation, visible from 30 km, 150-ton structure | Built using 115 tons of steel and 40 tons of fiberglass
Nathdwara (Rajsamand), Rajasthan, March 26, 2026: On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the grand 131-foot-tall Hanuman statue, ‘Shree Shreeji ke Hanumanji’, installed on Giriraj Parvat in Nathdwara, was ceremoniously inaugurated amidst deep devotion, spiritual fervor, and religious enthusiasm. Situated at an elevation of approximately 500 feet above ground level, the statue is visible from nearly 30 kilometers away, establishing it as a prominent new center of faith in Rajasthan.
The historic occasion witnessed the presence of saints, spiritual leaders, and thousands of devotees from across the country, making the event truly grand. The entire region resonated with religious rituals, bhajans, and chants, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.
This south-facing Hanuman statue, sculpted in a pranam (salutation) posture, is oriented towards Lord Shrinathji and the 369-foot-tall Shiva statue ‘Vishwas Swaroopam’ located opposite it. The structure symbolizes devotion, surrender, and spiritual unity. As per religious beliefs, south-facing Hanuman idols are considered highly protective and spiritually rewarding.
CEO of SMB Corporation of India and visionary behind the statue, Shri Girishbhai Ratilal Shah, said, “This statue is not just a magnificent structure, but a living expression of unwavering faith, devotion, and dedication. Our vision was to create a spiritual landmark that connects people with their culture and beliefs. With the blessings of our gurus, continuous spiritual practices, and collective efforts, this dream has been realized. We firmly believe that ‘Shree Shreeji Na Hanumanji’ will emerge as a major center of faith and further position Nathdwara on the global religious tourism map.”
The statue is constructed on a strong M30-grade RCC base of approximately 20 feet, while the statue itself stands 111 feet tall, taking the total height to 131 feet—equivalent to a 13-storey building. The construction incorporates around 115 tons of steel and 40 tons of fiberglass, ensuring both structural strength and intricate detailing.
To maintain its radiant golden appearance, a special gold coating was imported from Thailand. During the three-year construction period, daily recitations of Sundarkand and Hanuman Chalisa were conducted, infusing the project with spiritual energy.
The statue has been sculpted by renowned artisan Naresh Kumawat , who has created over 6,000 statues across India and abroad, including installations in Canada. Despite challenging terrain, high-altitude conditions, and intense wind pressure that made even crane operations difficult, the structure was successfully completed using advanced technology and robust engineering.
According to religious beliefs, when Lord Shrinathji journeyed from Vraj to Mewar, several deities accompanied him to serve him. It is this belief that inspired the Installation of Hanumanji on Giriraj Parvat in Nathdwara, further strengthening the region’s spiritual legacy.
With the already established 369-foot-tall Shiva statue ‘Vishwas Swaroopam’ in Nathdwara, this Hanuman statue marks a significant milestone in transforming the region into a major spiritual and tourism hub. The initiative is expected to boost not only religious significance but also local economy, employment, and tourism in the region.
