AB INBEV INDIA EXPANDS ACCESS TO CLEAN DRINKING WATER WITH NEW RO WATER ATM IN MYSURU KARNATAKA

  1. Inaugurated a new RO Water ATM in Maliyuru Village, Mysuru District, providing safe drinking water to over 1000 residents, with capacity to deliver 1,000 litres per hour
  2. Builds on the earlier RO Water ATM installation in CV Koppal village, reinforcing AB InBev India’s commitment to expanding access to clean drinking water to local communities across Karnataka.
  3. The ATM integrates rainwater recharge systems, complementing AB InBev India’s wider efforts to conserve 36 million litres of water, restore 125 million litres of water capture capacity, and target 4 million HL recharge in 2025.

AB InBev India’s Second Water ATM Launched in Maliyuru Village Panchayat, Mysuru District

Karnataka, September 02nd, 2025 – AB InBev India, the leading beverage company, committed to sustainable water management, announced the expansion of its community water stewardship program in Karnataka with the inauguration of a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water ATM in Maliyuru Village Panchayat, Mysuru District.

This initiative follows the successful launch of a similar water ATM earlier this year in CV Koppal village, further strengthening AB InBev India’s mission to provide safe and affordable drinking water to underserved communities in the state. The newly inaugurated RO Water ATM by Shri Vasudev. C, Executive Engineer, Water Resource Department, T. Narasipura Taluk, Mysuru District, will provide clean drinking water per hour to over 1,000 residents.

Commenting on this expansion, Anasuya Ray, Vice President – Corporate Affairs, AB InBev India, said, “Water stewardship is at the core of our purpose. The new ATM also integrates rainwater recharge systems, reinforcing groundwater sustainability in the region. This effort complements AB InBev India’s wider water sustainability agenda, which includes conserving over 36 million litres of water in 2023–2024, restoring 125 million litres of water capture capacity through community desilting projects, and targeting a recharge capacity of 4 million hectolitres in 2025.

In partnership with local panchayats, farmers, and technical experts, AB InBev India continues to drive initiatives that improve water access, support agricultural resilience, and contribute to shared prosperity.
