The upcoming Hindi feature film Legal Baba is set to explore the social, political, and economic challenges of the Indian common man in a fresh, humorous, and satirical light. Directed by Abhinav Thakur, the film highlights the significance of discussions that occur not just in Parliament, but at everyday places like tea stalls in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Director and Cast
Abhinav Thakur, known for his dedication to telling stories about different sections of society, once again uses his platform to examine social divides through the lens of satire. He has previously directed the film Lipstick Boy, which drew attention to the traditional dance form Launda Naach of Bihar and was a tribute to Bhikhari Thakur. Lipstick Boy was praised at numerous film festivals and is soon to release on OTT platforms.
The film stars renowned actor Vijay Nikam, known for his memorable roles in Zombiewali, Taaza Khabar, and Arun Gawli, in the titular role of Legal Baba. Other notable cast members include Durgesh Kumar, a graduate of NSD and popular for his role in Panchayat, who brings a natural charm to every character he portrays.
Comedian Krishna Bhatt, who won hearts with his role in Lapataganj, will also appear in a special role, while Sharat Sonu, of UP 65 fame, adds to the film’s diverse and talented cast. Satyendra Soni, known for his stellar performance in Lapata Ladies, is also set to play a significant role, while actors Shashi Ranjan (Kathal), Anurekha Bhagat (Farzi), Vinod Lakshman Suryavanshi (Panchayat), Dharmendra Kumar, and Rajeev Gupta round out the cast.

Rekha Singh, an actress from Bihar, will also have a key role in Legal Baba. Singh, who has made her mark in both television and film, will showcase her acting chops alongside veteran actors like Meenakshi Chugh, Alka Ji, Rajesh Desai, and Rajneesh Ranjan.
Sahil Patel, who was seen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will add a dose of humor to the film, while actors with strong theater backgrounds such as Dharmendra Kumar and Rajeev Gupta are also part of the ensemble.
