Raj Kundra Allegedly Sells Rs 80 Crore Juhu Flat to Shilpa Shetty in 38 Crore Amid Money Laundering Probe

The ongoing saga surrounding businessman Raj Kundra’s alleged involvement in a money laundering case has taken a new turn with revelations regarding a property transaction involving him and his wife, actor Shilpa Shetty.

According to recent reports, Raj Kundra purportedly sold his Juhu flat, valued at Rs 80 crore, to Shilpa Shetty for a significantly reduced price of Rs 38 crore in 2022. This transaction has raised eyebrows amidst the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) probe into Kundra’s financial affairs.

Sources suggest that the ED suspects the transaction was an internal arrangement between the couple aimed at circumventing potential attachment of the property, with Kundra believed to still retain ownership of the flat.

Despite mounting allegations, Kundra and Shetty’s public relations team has declined to comment on the matter. Their advocate, Prashant Patil, vehemently denied any wrongdoing, stating that Kundra had not received any bitcoins as alleged by the ED. Patil reiterated the couple’s commitment to cooperating with authorities and expressed confidence in a fair investigation.

Meanwhile, the ED has issued a press release implicating Kundra in receiving 285 bitcoins from Amit Bhardwaj, the deceased mastermind behind the Gain Bitcoin ponzi scam. The bitcoins, allegedly sourced from illicit proceeds collected from investors, were intended for setting up a Bitcoin mining farm in Ukraine. However, the deal fell through, leaving Kundra in possession of the bitcoins, currently valued at over Rs 150 crore.

As the investigation unfolds, the spotlight remains firmly fixed on Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty, with each new revelation adding further complexity to the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding their financial dealings.
